Ask anyone about that little place called Tigris, and most people will just give you a blank stare, or else ask if you are talking about the Tigris River, if they’re really smart. You will hardly find one person who knows about this mystical land, the land of Panthera Tigris; in fact, one should wonder if anyone knows about it, as it is a land that no human has ever stepped into.
Where it lies is the greatest mystery of all. Some have proposed that it lies somewhere in the desolate expanses of the Pacific Ocean, a little island jewel in a vast sea of ocean. Others argue that it could not be far from India, where the great Bengal tiger lives, for it is not likely that a tiger would travel very far to find such a place.
Whatever the case, this is a land of love and war, ambition and empires. Kings have risen and fallen, and yet the circle of life continues unabated.
